Born in regional Victoria Brett’s childhood memories are of being surrounded by nature building cubby houses from whatever he could salvage from the bush and creek floor, he believes that this is where the foundation was laid for what has become a life long passion.

He left school and landed an apprenticeship with a family friend plumber, although he always felt carpentry, form and design was to be a great part of his future too.

He received his plumbing license at 21 and decided to travel to Europe. He found work restoring two chateaux in the south of France. One was in Vallerauque: Randavel Chateau was around the 500k euro mark for the renovation alone, a private French Art retreat that attracts international visitors. And a then 4 million euro water front Mansion in Pointe de Pilone – Saint Jean Cap Ferratt. Restoring walls, custom windows, doors, kitchens and bathrooms.. working along side true craftsmen in their trades, architects and engineers that were a wealth of culture history and knowledge. We were importing marble from Italy, Limestone from Iran. Trees from Africa, the list goes on… We worked with French oak used for a custom built kitchen the same French oak for flooring and inlay tiles of limestone throughout. Brett learned to speak the language and was treated like family.

During this time he also travelled through Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal. A flame was ignited experiencing the form and geometry of the historical buildings, the sculpture, art, landscapes, their environmental position. Antonio Gaudi, in particular, set Brett’s heart and imagination aflame.

Upon his return to Sydney super inspired he went through the processes of extending his qualifications with Master Builder Association NSW and became a licensed Builder. Renovating high end spec homes in the Northern beaches and Eastern suburbs of Sydney. Places like Mosman, Double Bay and Bondi to name a few… he branched off on his own before long curing his own niche business in renovating bathrooms and other smaller renovations in the same area.

It seemed that clients really appreciated having the one man to communicate with, manage and also work the whole renovation as Brett needs only an electrician and additional labour hand if and when required. His clients felt safe and supported the whole way through their project. Their homes and their belongings kept safe and clean at all times.

It wasn’t long before word spread and his clientele base grew needing only word of mouth to carry him through to the next job and the next project. There was no need for advertising whatsoever. The level of detail and finish surpassed clients’ expectations. Their investment in the project was of paramount consideration and Brett gave them integrity and support while streamlining the whole renovation process to keep any stress to a minimum.

One of the many highlights of his passion is having clients hug him with tears in their eyes or a firm yet kind handshake of appreciation at the end of a project.

Seeing smiles and eyes light up fuels his drive to provide a premium service and the utmost in customer care.
